Expectations:

  • "Saratoga Hoops" is a developmental league where players build the skills needed to compete. K-5 will do clinics on Saturdays & Sundays @ West Valley College run by professional coaches. Hoops has a lower level of time commitment compared to NJB, but it is highly praised for the professional coaches that run the clinics!

  • NOTE THAT $2 PARKING PERMITS ARE REQUIRED AT WEST VALLEY COLLEGE 7 Days a week & Violation cost = $35 !

  • "NJB" is a competitive basketball league based upon local chapters. Players are expected to have the basketball skills needed to compete at their age level, and some games will require travel to nearby areas (ex. Redwood City, Los Altos, etc). There will be one or two practices per week with games on Sundays.

    If we have enough teams register (and Head Coach volunteers) we may be able to schedule all of our games in Saratoga!

  • NJB All-Net is the most competitive level of NJB, and there is no guarantee of play time when on the team. If your player is a high achiever or very competitive then All-Net may be a good choice.

  • NJB High School Division (9th thru 12th grade)

Registration fees (Winter 2011/12):

Division
Division 1, 2 and 3 per player = $390*
Saratoga Hoops K-5 grades per player = $325
NJB High School Division JV and Varsity per player = $280*

*Note: Most chapters charge a volunteer buyout fee, which we do not. Our chapter is run by highly energetic board members and a select few volunteers. We believe this fee structure is a more honest approach. However, if you love basketball and would like to help, we always welcome new board members. Board members do receive a discounted fee as a thank you for their help....

Additional All-Net Fee = $160.00 (Due before all-net tryouts, but refunded if player not selected to the team after the tryout)
Additional Postseason Section All Star fee = $75.00 (If the player Qualifies at the end of the regular season for postseason external play).

Registration Discounts:
Siblings receive a discount of $25 (Not Applicable in Saratoga Hoops)
Board of Directors and Head Coaches receive a discount to be determined by the board

Refunds:
If a player withdraws from the season they are entitled to the following refund:

  • 100% before team formation
  • 50% after team formation, but before the first game
  • 0% after the first game
